Indvidual Therapy Online

A space to understand yourself, navigate challenges and create meaningful change.

Meet Katie

Welcome, I'm a Clinical Psychologist who works with adults navigating a range of life's challenges, with a particular interest in relationships, perinatal mental health and men's mental health.

People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes something significant has happened, and other times it's a growing sense that things aren't quite right, or a sense that things could be better. You might be feeling overwhelmed, struggling in your relationships, adjusting to a new stage of life, or simply wanting to better understand yourself and the patterns that keep showing up.

Whatever brings you here, you don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy.

My approach is warm, down-to-earth, collaborative and grounded in evidence-based psychological practice. I believe that understanding ourselves also means understanding the relationships, experiences and environments that have shaped us.

Together, we'll take the time to explore what's happening in your life, make sense of the challenges you're facing and work towards changes that feel meaningful and sustainable for you.

My hope is that therapy offers a space where you feel heard, understood and comfortable being yourself, while finding ways to move forward that feel right for you and align with your values.

Areas of Focus

I work with adults across a range of areas, with a particular focus on:

Perinatal Mental Health

Supporting individuals through pregnancy, the postnatal period and the transition to parenthood. This might include navigating emotional changes, identity, relationships, anxiety or the challenges that can come with becoming a parent.

Relationships

Exploring relationship difficulties, recurring patterns, separation, dating, new relationships, attachment and the ways our relationships influence how we feel about ourselves and others.

Men's Mental Health

Supporting men to navigate emotional wellbeing, stress, relationships, life transitions and the expectations and pressures that can sometimes make seeking support difficult.

My Approach

I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. My approach is integrative, drawing on a range of evidence-based psychological therapies and adapting our work to your individual needs, circumstances and goals.

For me, therapy is a collaborative process. It's about creating space to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences, while also developing practical ways to make changes in your everyday life.I bring warmth, compassion and a healthy dose of realistic optimism to my work. I'm supportive, but I'm also comfortable asking the difficult questions, gently challenging patterns and exploring different perspectives.

And while therapy can involve some challenging conversations, I don't believe it always has to feel heavy. There can be moments of humour, and even laughter along the way. Sometimes those moments are just as important as the more serious ones.

Above all, I want our work together to feel genuine, useful and focused on what matters most to you.

Appointments

Individual therapy is offered online via secure telehealth, allowing you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space. Both initial and ongoing consultations are 50 minutes. You don't need a referral to make an appointment. However, an eligible referral is required if you wish to claim a Medicare rebate.
